The monastery of Santa María de Montserrat is a Benedictine abbey located on the mountain of Montserrat, belonging to the region of Bages, province of Barcelona, at a height of 720 meters above sea level. Administratively it belongs to the municipality of Monistrol de Montserrat, although some of its adjacent lands enter the municipality of Collbató. It is a symbol for Catalonia and has become a pilgrimage point for believers and a must for tourists. The legend places the discovery of the image of the Virgin of Montserrat around the year 880. Then the cult to the Moreneta began. A natural park where the patron saint of Catalonia is worshipped
